Jared Starling began Starling Interactive as a support structure for his first business, Prostar Fulfillment, Inc. With a wide range of Direct Response oriented customers, Jared began fielding more and more requests over the years for referrals to interactive agencies that understood the nuance involved in online direct marketing.

After limited success referring his own clients to outside agencies, Jared opened Starling Web Marketing with multiple outside contractors whom he had come into contact with through years of DR work. Once the groundwork was laid and after some very successful early work, Starling Web Marketing was formed with a small but highly knowledgeable team of Interactive profressionals.

Steve Duffy, The Marketing Guy

This is the guy that convinced your 87 year old grandmother with an artificial hip to dance at your wedding and then got a date with your sister - the one that verbally eviscerates would-be suitors on a constant basis. He regularly talks his way out of traffic tickets and you hope he never gets into car sales because it might actually open up a tear in the space time continuum.

Words like "synergy" and "pow wow" are occasioned to come from his mouth, and he builds consensus like Paul Bunyon chopped down trees. Be that as it may, he knows how to sell to the masses and he spends his time figuring out ways to make people really, truly, honestly believe that they absolutely need your product or their life will be over.

Kent Smith, The Developer

In the future we may live in a society that idolizes the ability to make any social situation awkward. If this is the case, our Senior Developer will be looked upon as the Alexander the Great of his time.

It's not his fault, and he really is a great guy, it's just that he's so... English. Very prim, very proper, and altogether very quiet. If you truly want to know the way to his heart, bring up your favorite episode of Star Trek with him (Note: It doesn't matter which series) and ask him about his overweight kitty cat.

Don't worry too much about his introverted tendencies, it all works out okay because if you can dream of a web application, he can build it. Just don't ask him to talk in a meeting, especially if there's a girl present.

Colleen Palmer, The Designer

She likes video games and reads more comic books than your little brother, but she could probably also beat you up, which is kind of amazing considering she's only 5'3".

Seeing a site that runs off of tables makes her visibly ill and she loves doing 6 comps for every site she's ever done. Standards compliance are the words of the day and after she does a site for you, you'll always be amazed at how quickly your natural search rankings will makes leaps and bounds forward.

All those crazy off the wall ideas you had for your site? Yeah, she'll have you in spades thinking about nuanced icons that will make your blog look like Michelangelo himself created it.
